Just a quick question - I have a 1972 T with the 915 Tranny, but the motor is a 1970 2.2s.
Do I use the throw out bearing from 1970 (match with the motor), or the throw out bearing from 1972 (match with the tranny)? Thanks!

Please, someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Kevin, You need the ’72 TO bearing which (I think) fits on the 2.2 pressure plate. It is possible you will need a 2.4 pressure plate. Of course you will need a 2.4 disc because the splines are different. It may be that the TO bearings are the same part but I don’t think so. It’s been a long time. Do you have your ’72 transmission apart? There is an improvement for the input shaft seal that installs from the inside of the transmission. Best, Grady
