Time to change to Synthetic?

My 3.2 is getting a top end rebuild, and crank work if neccessary ( broken head stud), and the 915 synchros etc..

the car has been raised on dino oil, changed every 3K.

After the rebuild with new seals, should I change to Synthetic? If I change it every 3K, is it worth it?

Could I/should I leave the Synthetic in longer?

As always, Inputs appreciated
