New sticker for 911 ignition coil

Anyone know where I can get a new sticker for my coil? I was cleaning it the other day and what was left of the sticker on the side came off. It said something like "Vorshect" and had two little lightning bolts on each side. Small detail, but I kinda liked seeing it when you opened the decklid.

DarrylD, have you already made any of these? I saw your foil stickers and was very impressed. Good job.

Phil

Hey thanks for the compliments Phil and Art!

Phil, Is the coil sticker you're talking about like the one in this picture (on my car)?

Yep, that's the one. It came apart when I was cleaning my coil up. Would it be hard to make one of those? Just wondering.

Hi,

Is the other sticker on the clamp that holds the coil somewhere available.

Darryl,

The stickers that you made are very beautiful, what is the secret, how do you print them ?

Regards,

PeterTarga

Hey Phil!

I've seen that sticker around too... let me go through my list of favorite website links, it's out there! I have an original to measure from if all else fails and a "fascimilie" sticker is required.

Hey PeterTarga!

THANKS! I appreciate the compliment! Really nothing special besides a pretty high DPI HP OfficeJet ink jet printer running in super slow "glossy photo paper" mode and a really good print rendering software package that can resize the image with minimal jaggies. The trick is the original drawing is about 3x the size of the final print so the rendering software can do it's thing smoothing out the shapes when it reduces the size. I could really kick-butt with a photo quailty printer that people use for printing their enlarged digital photos. Gold foil label stock is readily available at most printing shops that do custom mailing labels and such. It is rather expensive though, like $4 a 8.5" x 11" sheet. The real trick is laminating the label in plastic with a heat laminator so the ink is protected from rubbing off.

Darryl,

Any luck finding a source for the sticker on the bracket? I looked at the link for the coil sticker but it looks like that seller only ships within Europe.

I'd be interested in buying a couple of each.

John
