couple of questions, looking for help

What would it mean if every time I start the car when it is cold there is a puff of white smoke, also what doe it sound like when the tensioner chain starts to go. Hope some one can help thanks.

By "puff," do you mean like 2-3 seconds, or like 2-3 minutes? A couple of seconds of smoke isn't particularly abnormal, as far as I know.

Not sure about chain tensioners -- do you have the Carrera chain tensioner upgrade?

PS -- for future reference, more people are likely to click on a thread if the subject is apparent in the title of the thread. For example, this thread could be named, "White smoke puff on start, failing chain tensioners?" or something similar.

A bad chain tensioner has been described as a metal chain bouncing around in a tin trash can. I've never heard one but I can imagine the sound.
Lots of 911s smoke for a few seconds at satart up, nothing to worry about there. how many miles can you get from a quart of oil?
If you need to add oil every 500 miles, you have a problem. If you can go 1000 miles, you don't.
