CV grease is normally furnished with the boot kit. I don't know the specifics of removing the axles on your model (on my '76 and the '84 to '89 models, the axle nut has to be removed, but I'm thinking on earlier models this wasn't the case). When you get the new boot on the axle, just fill it up with grease...slide the boot onto the CV housing, slip on the clamps and have a tool ready to tighten/crimp the clamps and reinstall on the car. Before removing the hex bolts that secure the axle to the transmission, be sure to clean out all dirt/grease on those bolts and make your hex tool seats FULLY into the bolt before applying torque...if not, you'll likely strip out the head of the bolt and will have to grind and/or drill out the bolt (not a fun way to spend an afternoon).
