Idle- 2 diff. problems???

I've searched through a few posts with different key words but, it sounds like I may have 2 different problems to look at.

81 SC 3.0

1) The car does not rev up when dead cold and started. It sits around 900-1k rpm.

2) once slightly warm it lopes and idles around 6-700 rpm

3) when it's been running for a while non stop it smooths out and idles fine but cut it off and start it back up and it lopes again even if warm.

The cold start could be the wur or the cold start inj. I guess.

The rest of the idle problems could be vacuum leaks idle air reg or CIS adj I guess.??

Is there one thing that would cause all of this? Or do I have more than one problem ahead of me?

Thanks,

If you continue searching I think you will see that most of these warmup and idling problems are due to the WUR , vac leaks (which you mentioned) and the AAR. It may also be a mixture setting, O2 sensor, or even your idle setting. If the engine starts from cold, then probably the cold start valve is OK.

What is your idle when warmed up?

Have you done the usual tuneup things, like timing, valve adjust, rotor, cap and wires?
