Hey There, I just aquired a 79 SC Targa and I've started working on fixing the things that need fixing. Im having problems with the head lights. When I go to use the high's the lights turn Off!! whats up with that?. Hopefully someone can direct me on what todo.

It is most likely the stalk/switch (turn signal lever). Sometimes you can adjust the contacts a bit and fix the problem if they are not burned or damaged. Burned or melted contacts are a common problem..especially with higher output bulbs. Most folks add relays to the circuit to help prevent this.

maybe both bulbs are bad?

It's the turn signal/headlight switch. Same thing happened to me. Buy it at Pelican and fix next weekend...
