Oh yeah,

That it makes some people think I earn more than I do and should donate to their cause or that I'm going through my mid-life crisis.

My car was perfect when I finished the paint, now every rock chip, nick, and bug make it less fun to own. I hate Michigan roads, bumpy, in disrepair, and covered with rocks and everything else to destroy my perfection. Sigh....

Basically what everyone else has said.

But getting in and out trying to wear the seat bolsters is my main complaint.

Freaking CIS

The Air Conditioning is an absolute joke. I can not believe what a crappy system that is...noisy too.

Its hard for me to think of this car as being a $50 K car back in 86...

Dont get me wrong, I mean, its bulletproof.... great engine, runs and handles great...cool styling... but its almost like a bad joke the way that they had stretched out the original 911 for like 25 years with little improvements in basic comforts or updated tranny.

I like the 915, but is it a tranny for a $50 K car? I guess it was for Porsche back in 86.

The fact that it only blows a oil cloud on startup when there is a crowd of admirers standing around it.
High idle after a breif stop/shutoff when you want to impress with the low rumble.(sounds like a sewing machine at 2k rpm)
915
Dirt magnet under the rear spoiler ; )

I hate the fact that I always have to fill it up. it never seems to have a lot of gas in it. Not sure why. :D

Tachometer redline

It's just a leak, more details here I'm still waiting on some parts to try and fix it. I broke an exhaust stud removing the RHS heat exchanger when I was checking everything out. I think I'm going to hate broken exhaust studs worse than oil leaks by the time I'm done.

oneblueyedog 10-16-2004 08:13 PM

The twist the key 5 or six times to start it problem that can't be fixed by regular methods. Tried everything but-running a new yellow wire to the starter.

After that-bliss.

Paul Valcourt 10-16-2004 08:52 PM

The oil leaks, if it didn't leak I would be in heaven. Also I don't mind the cost of parts, have you checked the prices on North American iron restoration parts?

bigrubberjeep 10-16-2004 09:19 PM

I hate the mile counter.

But.....here is the kicker

I have 2 other perfectly working cars to pick from in the morning, YET

I love my car so much that I rather PUSH START the PORSCHE every day to and from work and it doesnt even bother me.

aways 10-16-2004 09:35 PM

The worry of leaving it parked anywhere for fear that some a-hole is going to "key" it, or park their 1970's Blazer next to it and ding it with their door. I'm always paranoid when it's outside the garage...
