Just about anyone who is competent with Porsche's can work on your G50 (they ain't rocket science). Check with Performance Imports (Doraville), Kerry Singley (Roswell), Jack Lewis (Norcross), and the list goes on...

Arguably the finest gearbox rebuilder is Brian Copans. He is the one who rebuilds a large percentage of the 'boxes for the ALMS and Grand-Am GT3R's. He also has a lot of PCA racers send him their boxes for Club Racing.

He is located in Cincinnati, OH and is often travelling back and forth from the different events as he provides track support.

However, I agree with Mike as well. I am sure there are plenty of competent people in the Atlanta area and they aren't that hard to work on.

What is the problem you are experiencing?

Ralph

Thanks for the responses. I just want to try to minimize problems (hearing about moto meiser enigne probs and all). I want it inspected by someone I can trust. I am preping the car for paint and doing an overhaul of the engine. While the engine is out I figured I would have someone fix the trans leaks and just check it out for any problems. Just to be on the safe side.

Call George @Automobile Atlanta.

They rebuilt my 915 tranny several years ago and I have had no problems with it. There a bit pricey ,but they do good work. I think I paid around 1100.00 for a total rebuild. I had lost first gear .

Do a search on Automobile Atlanta. Try this one for starters: automobile atlanta's rubber kit?

I talked to someone at Performance Imports a month or two ago. I just went to ask questions and one mechanic was really nice and answered all my questions, showed me around, etc.

I think I will take my G50 there.... Thanks for the replys.
I went to AA once, when I first got my car. They where alright, but did not get the warm fuzzy from them...
