Body Guys: Need help from the Middle East

I love my wife, but I knew this would happen. She got into an accident during the Ramadan frinzy. Here in Qatar you cannot get body work done without a Police report. She rammed some guy at about 5 mph. He didn't care, he drove off, she panicked and did the same. I have about a tennis ball sized 1/4" deep dent on my hood (VW). Is there any dent repair system that I could send for that would work?? I've heard bad stuff about Ding King, but what about some other brands?

you could try a plunger. I works great if there are no creases in the dent.

Can you post a picture? We can evaluate your repair options better. If there is a crease, you'll have problems.

Perhaps you should move over to Saudi Arabia, I hear women aren't allowed to drive there.

Does the weather ever get mild enough to drive the Targa comfortably or do you have working AC?

Why not just get a Police report? Park it someplace where there is traffic; leave it for a few hours; come back and report the apparent "hit-and-run."

When one is burdened with ridiculous government regulations (in this case, a person cannot get body damage repaired without a police report) one sometimes has to "lie" just to get things done. (Saying this was a hit-and-run, just to get a police report, is hardly a lie since this is exactly what it was.)

Any "lie" -- more like "stretching of the truth" in this case -- is not for some personal gain with harm to another, but is just a way to get around the rules half-brain-dead bureaucrats make to try to encumber productive people's lives and make their own worthless existence feel meaningful.

If nobody "gains" and nobody "loses" when a particular untruth is told, it's called a "white lie" -- hardly something you need to get your moral panties all wadded-up over...

Are there any creases in the metal or is the paint cracked or scratched/rubbed off? This will help determine possible success.
