With todays conversion $40,000 CDN is about $30,000 US

To me this sounds high.

However here in Canada the supply is lower.

I've got to say, the car sounds sweet!

seemingly handsome car - it is however a"one off" car. you should be able to find a decent real 930 in this price range.

First of all, that's no 930.
There is no market price for these cars (ask me how I know). It has to be the right mods for the right buyer. If you like the mods and the car is as represented then the price is not way off. These conversions are expensive to do properly. "Properly" includes an engine rebuild and use of as many OEM parts as possible for the conversion. Add a few bucks for location and you eat up 30 grand quick.
A comperable stock '78 930 will run between 25-30 grand US.

I agree with what everybody else has said above. You can buy a Real 1978-79 930 for between $20k-$30 That is ready to go and will hold it's value better.

It is true that "real" 930s go for the same or less, but this car is not for someone who wants a regular 930. It's a narrow-body turbo, (similar in concept to a RUF), and I really like it! I'll bet it's faster than snot as well.

I think it's worth the price with the fresh paint & rebuilt motor. I like the mods he's done to the car, but I'd try to talk him down $3k for the needed brake upgrade, that's more important to me than the cosmetic stuff. Someday I hope to get a real 930, I think the widebody looks mean if it's lowered with some big meats.

No.

If you are willing to spend that kind of money, you can get a real 930 that's no conversion.

I sold my 86 930 for $25K over two years ago new paint and a fresh top end

TB,

That's crazy pricing, a couple of guys here picked up Euro 87-89 930's with less that 80,000KM straight from Japan and Europe. There's a Company in Vancouver that imports them, handles all the paperwork etc.
They are both awesome cars, flawless, low Km, power everything and you get the G50. Prices were around the $46-49k CDN range.
If really interested I can findout the Company in B.C.
