Value Question
My deal fell through on an 88 cab, so I'm looking at a few others...
85 turbo look cab, euro spec, under 50k miles, repainted in orig color, needs new top, good service history. Assuming ppi checks out ok, what should I expect to pay? I'm thinking 21-22k tops. Appreciate the help. |

Make sure it is not a grey market car.

It is gray market; supposedly didn't spend much time in germany before heading to florida.
Other than resale, what are the major issues w/ a grey market car these days? |

some insurance companies will not insure a ZZZ car - and some of the aftermarket pollution equipment does not age as well as the OEM stuff -

If you wouldn't mind coming to Texas for your Porsche, I am familiar with a '88 cab (I believe it to be diamond blue....I know it's blue, it's the diamond part I'm not sure about). The car has about 65K.....our shop has done a fair amount of restoration (new convt. top, door/top seals, CV joint boots, muffler, valve adjustment, etc.) work on the car over the last year and I have driven it many times. The current owner is looking at a newer 996/997 and told me the other day that he thought he would ask 23K for the car. It is located in Wichita Falls, TX.

yep! I have three kids - 11 soon to be 12, 5 and 2 - they love going for rides in the "cool car" their name for it, not mine...
