Pics of 205/55r15 on earlier cars?

I've searched and searched, but haven't found any.

Any help out there? Just trying to make sure I don't regret the purchase to put them on some 15x7 Superlites.

Thanks!

Well, I took the plunge and bought some BFG G-force in that size - will post pics when mounted.

Be aware that your Speedo will read quite a bit high unless you get it recalibrated.

But officer, my Speedo said 45, not 65!

Heh heh.

Thanks! I should be happy with mine once I get it lowered.

I believe the oposite will be true for the speedo, however not to that great extent.

Here is mine - 205/55/15 TOYOs with the suspension lowered and new Bilsteins Sports - 23 ins front and rear! (level ground to the lip of the fender)

This is a before shot - with original settings and shocks! It was almost 26 ins high. The height and old shocks this car had alot of sway. Now she hugs the road beautifully!

DOH!!! You are correct, your odo will read low but the speedo will be high. It was significant to me in my car.

Size really depends on the tire brand. My old Falken Azenis 615K 205/50/15's looked almost identical in size to my current Bridgestone RE-11 195/50/15's. They are definitely smaller, but they don't appear that much smaller.

'66 912 #451326, non-rolled fenders, Porsche 15x7 wheels, 205/50-15 BFGoodrich GForce Sport tires, judicious use of spacers (longer than stock lug bolts required):

This shot was taken under heavy braking, so the car appears lower than static conditions. Torsion bars are 22 and 27mm. No rubbing. These tires lower the overall gear ratio about eight percent, so they are not for highway cruising at 70-80 mph (revs too high), yet they are fantastic for autocrossing. On some pavements this 2,050lb car, with a 1,720cc (otherwise stock) engine, can get rubber in first (and sometimes even second) gear.

I love to surprise 911s!

Man, you 205/50 guys are almost making me wish I went that way! I think I'll be alright - at least enourage me to wear them out faster if I don't like them!!

1720cc at altitude and rubber is impressive! Especially with sticky tires.
