Congrats Warren.

You have more facts and figures at your disposal than I will ever learn. I never cease to be amazed by your depth of knowledge of the big items and the little items as well. You either have a photographic memory, a good filing system, or both.

thanks for all the help.

Thanks for all the help Warren! I wish I could figure out a way to catalog everything you have written here in my 'Porsche-Favorites' folder in my browser.

lateapex911 10-26-2004 06:31 PM

Wow.

10,000.........

Think about that!

I remember asking a question once, (and this is the typical Warren story, right?) and it wasn't more than an hour that a full sized scan of a wiring diagram showed up on the screen, along with sage advise on what it all meant.

It was like tapping the hard drive (if there was such a thing) of the entire factorys knowledge.

Warren brings the board incredible knowledge, to be sure, but two other things that are really priceless. And they are the only things a man can really "take with him"....ethics and integrity.

The coolest thing about Warren, in my mind, is that he has the respect of so many, and seemingly because we recognize his integrity. Which says a lot for those on the board as well.

The other REALLY cool thing about Warren is his collection of cars...an early 911S, and an old Cuda! You gotta love a guy who is so open minded, and obviously loves a lot of "character" in his cars.

Thankyou Warren, you are an example to us all.

Many happy posts more!

Thanks Warren.

The "Little Bull" has much thanks to you.

Thankyou Warren from Oz

I learned so much from trawling through the Pelican archives and studying what Warren wrote.
Thankyou very much:)

10000?! Boy, do I have my work cut out for me!

smestas 10-27-2004 10:46 AM

A true inspiration!

I’m still working on breaking 1,000

Hey Warren,

Yes, you are part of the reason that I even attempted to DIY. You have a knack of nailing every issue on the nose. Now, I DIY many "things" on my car.......and much because of your well communicated input.

regards and thanks again,

I bet he could be the next "Dr. Phil"!

Gawd, I hope NOT! Warren is one opinionated SOB. He has a right to be so, because his opinions are 99.99% right on! :D

I noticed this morning: this is my 10,000th post.

Looking at the post above, I see I'm lagging behind pwd72S by about 100 posts. I'll have to start typing faster if I'm going to win this thing. ;)

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I'm continuously amazed by the people I've met from (and on) this board. It's a group that's head and shoulders above anything you'd expect coming from group focused on a niche sports car. It's no surprise that Pelican is one of the 100 busiest BBS sites on the planet. Great people make for a great group.

And of course I'll include a couple of pictures of BB2 in this post, since that's one of the things I'm most known for.

At rest:

And at risk (of another ticket, that is):

I'm closing, but not fast enough. I need to get a bit more busy...uh...at work. Yeah, that's it...at work.

Vonzipper 05-31-2005 10:41 AM

Congrats Jack,

I'm new to the forum thing, It is amazing how much quality information is here, From toasters to lap times, more or less a one stop shop

speeder 05-31-2005 10:49 AM

Congratulations, Jack!

I think I recognize that 2nd photo. ;)

Can you use your special buttons to freeze your post count right there? It looks cool, you must admit.

I completely agree about the general quality of people on this board. I've met plenty of good people around various hobbies and interests, but I'm still convinced that this group is exceptional. One does not meet better people than you and your friends anywhere, or so many others here.

Warren is just the absolute salt of the earth, and so smart.

I will be roadtripping a bit this summer and look forward to meeting up w/ some distant Pelicans.

Jack,

Congratulations on 10,000 posts. I think you need to take BB2 out for spin to celebrate. Keep the good knowledge coming.

Chris

Long before Jack was the suave, debonair 911 racer boy, he too was a Porsche novice. Read all about it here: Jack Olsen Buys a 911

mjshira 05-31-2005 11:20 AM

Jack

you are the man, I really enjoy your threads, always good motivation to get the amex out and order some parts for the 911. Heck, BB1 was what got me started in the hot rod 911 game in the first place. And what with some of her parts now being on Scruffy I feel like the cars are connected.

what is cool about your most recent posts is that you are doing the DIY stuff e.g. the airdam stuff and the interior bits (did you ever get your V1/ipod idea sorted?)

keep em coming. Heck I am now sure you never sleep! ;-)

James
