Using cookie cutters for track wheels?

I am looking at getting a set of wheels and tires for track use only for my 77 911S. I would like to use 15x7 wheels at all four corners. So far I have only been looking for a set of Fuchs. But I'm now starting wonder if I should consider cookie cutters. They certainly are significantly cheaper than the Fuchs. So why should I not consider them for a set of track wheels?

Thanks,

They are cast wheels and heavier than the Fuchs, but there are no other reasons not to use them. I do, and so do a lot of other folks. Check for cracks often, as you should with any track wheel.

No reason at all, they work great. I think most people don't like the looks of them as much and they're a tad bit heavier, but for a track rim with sticky tires, they'd be great. I have a set for $300 if your interested, i can take pics too.

Do a search on cookie cutters. You will find a ton of great info. I bought an extra set of 15x7's. They are roughly 1 pound heavier a wheel.
