Can I upgrade my sway bars with Turbo ones?

I have a 1984 911 and I think it has the following:
20mm front sway bar
18mm rear sway bar

Will the sway bars from an 80s Turbo of the following size simply swap into my existing sway bar location?
22mm front sway bar
20mm rear sway bar

Thanks for the advice... I'm currently researching my options for upgrading my sway bars.

Sure why not? Make sure you get the right sized bushing and other hardware....

My SC has Carrera stuff on it....

Hi Steve,

I think what Mike is saying is that he has swapped out his stock bars for Carrera bars, which are much larger, and thus made the switch.

I have done the same, and I had to switch the bars themselves, the rubber bushing (you could use Delrin bushings), and the clamps which clamp all of it together. Basically the fatter bars need the fatter bushing, held together by the larger clamps. Look under your car and you'll see what we mean.

Finally, if the Turbo clamps have the same hole spacing as your Carrera clamps, then yes, you can make the switch.
