935/934 Eye Candy! Local Porsche club meet

Well, on Sunday 31st October, the Porsche Club of Victoria had their annual "President's Day", which is an untimed event, where members can take their friends and family for a ride on the track.

It's a good thing I took my camera...

'78 Porsche 935/K3

Hard to see, but 10k rpm tach, boost set to 1.7bar (@ approx 800bhp!), Vmax = 232mph

Wait! - There's TWO of them!!

A genuine 934... which was crazy fast down the straights and sounded like a jet fighter!

More to come...

A 550 Replica..

I was peeking through the grilles, and I think this car has 911/MFI power, but I don't know what size...

An evil-sounding 964 RSR replica

A very clean slant-nose Kremer 930...

A late 996 GT3...

A bevvy of 993 RSs...

I've also got a couple of 3-4 mb close-up videos of the 934 and 935 starting up, but no way to host them. The sound is great quality!

Adam, great pictures. Did you end up getting a ride?

I can host the videos. Simply email them to early911@optusnet.com.au, if you please.

Anthony.

Nice pictures Adam,

Next year I will try not to forget my camera (2 years running now!).

Was a great day, was hard to get a ride though. Most already had people set up for passengers.

I only got 2 rides and left about an hour after you.

Do you think you will become a member?

Awsome, awsome cars!
Thanks for the pics.

Anyone know which model wheels are on the black slant? They look to be 3 piece BBSs.

Rick, I THINK the wheels on the black slant are Simmons wheels. My mechanic works on a red DP that has them. I am not usually a fan of the "gold bbs" as I feel they went out of style in the 80s, but on the DP in my neck of the woods, and the black slant above, they look good enough for me to change my mind.

Adam, awesome pics! Thanks for sharing.

Great pics! Do all 934s have the stock looking rear bumpers with bellows? What do the front of 934s look like?

I'm actually kicking myself I didn't get more pictures of the 934.

obrut - The 935 surprised me with how easy it was to start and drive off. It was like a normal car! Rusty turned up with a whole semi-trailer, with tools, mechanics, spare parts. It was like he was setting up for an endurance race!

I'll arrange to send these videos through to Tinton tonight. They're 3.5mb each. Not much action on the videos, but the sound is great!

That's an impressive collection of machinery!!!

Adam,

You actually drove a 935? That's got to be an unbelievable experience, even if you're not pushing it.

Sorry, Arvin - I certainly didn't mean to give that impression.

I just watched in quiet awe from the pits.
