My New 911R Lights

I thought some of you may care to see the new 911R lights I bought on my US holiday... now fitted and painted.

I'm also now running in the new 2.7RS spec engine I built over the past year... very sweet

Some more?

As you can see, there is a little bit of gap fine tuning and I need to turn the right indicator a little for exact horizontal... and perhaps a little tweaking on the exhaust outlet. But overall I really liking the look. I may yet still lose the ducktail for a more S/T look.

Cheers

John, your car looks great! If you ever get tired of it, I'll give it a good home.

Your car looks awesome. That muffler looks like the custom one I built but I have 2 outlets. Who made it?
Don't lose the tail, gives it character.

I'm in lust John

Gee, I go away for awhile and you finish your car. Love it , I just love it. So different than the rest. Try it with out the tail and see what you think.

I have been chatting for the last year with some of my R Gruppe buddies about removing the RS tail and front bumper on Iris and going to fiberglass "S" style front and rear. Semi ST look. Want to be different than all of the "ducks in a row'.

For being upside down John you have a very clear picture of what you want your car to look like. Again, great look.

I also like the headers. I bought some and had them ceramic coated a dark dark color for heat transfer reasons. The ceramic shop person says that different colors transmit different amounts of heat, my thought was to let as little excape the pipe an more go out the end in to the stainless muffler. Less heat on the underside of the motor.

Randy - "The ceramic shop person says that different colors transmit different amounts of heat" No. My PhD involved this stuff so trust me. BUT... the coating _will_ help it emit more heat because a polished surface does not radiate well. Make any sense?

John - How much does your car weigh? It looks great.

Why is the left side header flanged before the collector? I've not seen that before.

Nice CAR!

One other ? How much have you driven the car w\that muffler? The reason I ask is because my muffler was SS as well. Took about 200 miles before the thing turned all sorts of psychedelic colors. I ended up painting mine black.
Damn- not one spot of oil on the underside.
