The problem with carfax is it only goes back as far as 81'17 digits'

From what I know it was manufactured as a California car and was brought up here 1 year ago from North Carolina

Would the Porsche dealer service network keep records for a car that old? I've heard that you could gain service info on cars that were taken to a dealer - uses the VIN. Not sure how far back that would go ...

This depends on if the dealer is willing to divulge this info. I've had friends who have tried but were unsuccessful. It's worth a call though.
