964 wheel offsets (track wheels)

Hey everyone,

well, I've been really POed that you can't find BBS 1 piece wheels for 964 offsets (that doesn't require major modifications) , so I finally broke down and am willing to have a set of 3-piece BBS race wheels made for me, especially since I'm getting them at a little less than the price of BBS street wheels.

I just wanted to know if anyone has used any custom offsets on their 964s to fit wider tires. I really don't want to use spacers because that pretty much gaurantees changing the studs. My goal is to end up being able to use 225s in the front and 275s in the rear, but I don't know if that's possible without spacers, on my previous set of BBSs the 275s would rub the trailing arms without spacers, granted you only needed about 1.5mm of spacer per side, but that started leaving you with very little threads for lug nuts. I'm sure 265s and 215s will work without spacers though. Just wondering if anyone had tried this and knew what offsets I should use.

Thanks,
Andrew

btw, this would be for 17 inch wheels, I really don't want 18s.

Bill, I'm having some BBSs made up to see how they fit, just wondering if you meant to say 8.0 54.0 and

10.0 51.0 for the kinesis wheels since the stock wheels were:

7.0 ET 55

8.0 ET 52

Also, do you happen to know what size tires were run on those?

Those are the wheels that I have feedback on, I didn't record the tires, I do need to do that.
