Worn slotted rotors....

My ATE rotors that have the atomic symbol looking slots on them are getting worn.....can they be turned and then reslotted?

I replace the slotted rotors when they wear to the bottom of the slot

slots or not, get a micrometer and measure the thickness of the rotor. If in spec, you're set, you should have no problem turning them, though it should be done with fine cuts at a very low speed. Be sure to remeasure the rotors, or pay attention to how much is being removed, to make sure they are still in spec once they are cut and true.

Yeah I can do that...just wanted to know if users of ATE Power Slots have found that when the slots are gone if they are still within spec or not....

BTW...what is the the spec for an SC front rotor?

The spec for oem 20mm rotors is 18mm(-1mm/side), the machining limit is 18.6mm(symmetric)

lateral runout is <0.05mm

one would have to assume for lack of more information the same spec for aftermarket rotors.
