Crank pulley seal/int. shaft cover leak

After over a year, I finally got the rebuilt motor in and running only to find a fairly significant leak behind the engine mount hardware. It appears to be either the pulley seal or the intermediate shaft cover, but I am more inclined to think it is the pulley seal.

Has anyone fixed a leak in this area by putting a jack under the motor and removing the engine mount hardware? I really don't want to pull the motor again if I don't have to.

Thanks!

No reason to pull the engine again. Your idea of putting a support (i'd put a padded jack stand instead of a floor jack) under the engine and removing the rear support console is exactly the way a shop would do it- the fast way.

Keep in mind that the leak may not necessarily be your crankshaft end seal or intermediate shaft cover. It could also be the #8 nose bearing shell/o-ring leaking. I've replaced both my crank seal and intermediate shaft cover o-ring and I still get dampness behind the crank pulley.
