Talking Anyone have a CAD drawing of an OEM adjustable springplate

Anyone have a CAD drawing of an OEM 911 adjustable spring-plate?

The one with eccentric bolts for adjustment

I was about to draw one up but if there is one floating around I wont kill the time..

Thanks
Todd

Hmm...if you are already making a monster car, isn't it better to go for uniballs and coilovers instead of fiddling with those plates?

If you have a good picture and measurements, I might be able to draw one up. However, it has been about 3 years since I have used AutoCad.

I have the 935-style swingplates CAD modeled up - needed when going with rear coilovers.

I'm actually looking into manufacturing and selling them soon.

I also have factory adjustable spring-plates laying around in the garage - I could get them modeled up eventually. Don't know how one would duplicate the torsion bar splines cost effectively though.

Just a small whiny note:
- You don't want the PYMR-T/PYML-T rod ends. They are "high misalignment and are weak on side-loading. The PRMR-T/PRML-T series is what your looking for. They will deal with a much higher side-loading.

It would be nice if we could collect a library of CAD drawings of parts of the 911. It would be a great resource. (If anyone has a 3D file of the 917K's bodywork that would be really cool...)

I'm working on a bunch of Porsche CAD - slowly but surely.

I also have point-cloud scans of the factory 935 and factory Baby 935 bodywork (from decent 1/12th and 1/24th scale models) that I eventually hope to CAD surface up someday.

I have a great source, but I doubt I could get anymore scanning favors, but it wouldn't cost much to scan another model (such as a 917) - maybe $100-200. The point-cloud data would probably still need to be surfaced.

Project935 - I was going to make up a set of 935 style swing arms and switch to coilovers. I was just going to base it off of the factory plate as a refrence.

Quicksilver - Thanks for the input on the end type!

Thanks Todd

The plates are easy.
The torsion tube adapters are a bit more of a challenge to do cost-effectively ... billet parts are too pricey in low quantities.

I own a company that builds and prototypes medical devices so the machining is no problem....

I was going to finish up my designs over the holidays and start looking at sourcing options - try to start offering the assemblies in the spring. I'll keep you in mind.
