Weltmeister Short Shift....

Well.....before I found out there were still some m241 kits out there I bought the Weltmeister shift kit....I installed it this weekend and can't believe how awesome my car shifts now...replacing the bushings was mandatory also......

That being said....

The biggest problem I encountered was reassembly. The 6mm bolts used for connecting the bushing sleeve were not long enough to 'make'....luckily I had a long 6mm lug on my Pearl drum kit and used it to make connection, then pulled the assembly up and made the connections with the bolts provided........

Just a note to those considering this awesome upgrade......

I'm thinking of doing this soon. Canyou give me the specs on the bolts I should use instead of the ones that come with the kit? Thanks.

You will ultimately use the bolts provided, but I needed a 4" bolt to get a thread started and pull the assembly up against the tunnel before I could make a thread with them.......

It's a 10 mm bolt as I recall with 6mm thread......
