rear fuse panel cover

Does anyone know what kind/size fastener is used to hold the rear fuse panel cover in place?? I see it has two holes for connectors, but I'm unsure what to use.

My '86 Carrera uses two bolts with "wing nut" heads.

DJ393,

Can you explain to me what you have done w/ your WUR, mixture control unit, exposed hose etc on the right side of your engine?

Thanks

That's not actually a picture of my engine (I wish it was!). Just used it for the picture of the fuse panel cover. Anyone have any idea of the size, and where I can find those wing nuts and bolts(or anything else which might look cool that would fit)??

Warren told you the size: the are metric bolts M6 x 1". Any good hardware store will have a selection of metric hardware you can choose from.

According to my factory parts catalog a metal 6 mm "winged screw" (900.029.102.02) and a 6.4 mm metal washer (900.151.003.02) are used. Two of each are required for the cover. Pelican can get then: $1.56 and $1.00 each respectively. Jim

Agree - mine are not plastic ('73) - imp. if you do concours.

IT's nice to get a new cover and wing bolts if you've just detailed/painted the engine.

And... if you use a CF cover, you'll want some Ti wingnuts....

As to where to get a new cover, I just saw an ad in the new Panorama for one made out of unobtanium (carbon fiber or the like). Only $169. One hundred sixty nine ...
