New goodies for the Red Roadster

Hi, we just got some parts in from Smart Racing and thought some of you would be interested in some pics...

Front Fox shocks

Front anti roll bar

Rear anti roll bar

Bump steer kit

Front shock towers

Front monoball

Fabcar shifter

We should have some more stuff in later this week, I'm still looking for front dry sump tank, dual cly. brake system, tubing bender and notcher, and big reds for the front.
Thanks Randy

I noticed your comment about the tubing bender and notcher. I'm not trying to hijack the thread, it might be the subject of it's own thread.

I don't know what you had in mind, but the notchers I've seen aren't very useful and some fabrication guys I know don't bother with them.

You can cut 2-3 angle cuts with a cut off saw and finish the fish mouth or cope, as us carpenters say, with an angle grinder. It's actually faster this way. The cut angles are simply reciprocals of the angle that the tubes meet. The job is 80% done on the chop saw.

Now back to the fancy equipment thread.

Hi Jack, I have a set of Lindsey racing wheels ( 8 & 9.5 x 17 ). I'm thinking of runing the 9,5's on the front and having them make me some 12 or 13's for the rear. Since you have that set up on your car do you think I can find 17" slicks that are big enough for 400 to 450 rwh? I've been advised to go to 18" wheels for more availibity of tire sizes and footprint. Lindsey has by far the best price.
Thanks Randy

Hi Milt, thanks for the imput. I'm a carpenter also, but I'm used to my Unisaw, compound miter saws, shapers, etc. very precise cuts and miters. I'll have to learn all about metal fab. on this car. Ok no notcher, what about the JD2 Model 3 tube bender? http://www.tubing-benders.com/
Any other sugestions?
Thanks Randy
