Will Regular 911 windshield fit 964?

Hey guys I was wondering if a standard 911 windshield will fit a 964? If you call a glass place they show a difference in their computer. I don't care about the antenna and want a aftermarket since it is a race car. I don't see a reason it wouldn't fit since I thought the tub in that area is the same.

Thanks,

Stan

For racing most people switch from 911 to 964 windshields because they are more flush to the body. Just got to make sure you use the correct glass with the correct seal. I had asked about this on the racing board. Do a search. I ended up buying a complete window flush kit and put on lexan.

Yes it works both ways (I have a 964 in my 911). You MUST use the matching seal with the window, since there is about a 1/4" difference in the glass size between the two, and the correct seal makes the differance.

Thanks Guys!

The guy who put in my window said that he commonly sees broken glass that he gets to repair because they used the wrong glass and it either breaks or falls out. The later glass is slightly larger.
I'd just get the correct glass that is for the vehicle.

He also mentioned the the cheaper American replacement glass was more chip resistant then the 'premium' German glass.
