it looks like a whale tail lip on an early turbo (76) base

That's what I'm hoping.......I believe both the base and lip are original because the fiberglass work is first class, what's it worth if that's the case ?.

Because the two don't really go together, tough to say. $800 - $1000 if either matched. probably half that with the mix up.

I don't think it's worth a premium over any other tail just because it's early. If it's a Porsche tail then it should have a Porsche part number or the crest somewhere on the part.

part # 930 512 010 00 molded into the fiberglass and a very clear, well defined crest in the rubber .The complete assy is fiberglass and VERY light with a seperate rubber lip. I'm just trying to verify that it's all OEM Porsche (I think it is).
