Rear quarter window trim won't go back in
Ok, just to add insult to injury this morning I locked my keys in my car (issue not yet resolved), and then somebody suggested I could remove my rear quarter window. Well just on a lark I was having a peek at what it might entail and I managed to pull the metal trim from the top corner out of the rubber housing just a tad. Now it won't push back in!
Any ideas? Thanks, Having a very, very bad day so far... Nikolai.

Now you have to take the window completely out.
Once the window is out, you can assemble the window/seal/metal trim assembly. Then the whole thing goes back in as one unit. There are lots of treads on this subject. Try a search for quarter windows seal trim. Don't keep pushing on the metal trim in an attempt to get it back in. It won't work, and you'll just end up bending it. |

P.S. I should add that you take the window out from the INSIDE of the car. You have to pry the seal up and over a ridge in the chassis, this is done from the inside.
So you should wait until you get in the car before trying to get the rear window out. |
