![]() First Impressions: 1. Early visual: remains of the piston/valve shrapnel appear (first visual) to have stayed 99% above the screen mesh. 2. Second photo below, there are scuff marks inside the chain housing (can be seen just up to the left of the hole (distributor hole?). Did the chain stretch maybe? Is there a problem with these scuff marks? 3. Getting to this point very easy, but had to take my time. 4. I do not see any seam sealant ![]()

I had very little schrapnel too, but one thing I did is have the oil cooler refurbshed. You never know what small metal gremlins may be hiding in there. For $75, Pacific Oil Cooler did an ultrasonic cleaning, coating, and sent that thing back looking brand spanking new. It's really good insurance IMHO.
It was strange, I didn't see any case sealant either.
