ZF Limited Slip testing question
Testing a 80% ZF Limited Slip
The Porsche repair books say hold the LSD body in a vice and see how much torque it takes to turn one axle stub. 914 book says 50 ft/lb. 911 book says 80 ft/lb. Also found a note that says put one axle stub in a vice and check the torque at the other stub, LSD body "floating". Should measure more than 25 and as high as 75 ft/lb. I measure 150 ft/lb. using the one stub method. and 40 ft/lb. if I check stub to stub. Comments? Thanks, Ken |
