How about one out of a Bugeye Sprite. Don't come much smaller than this:

I once had a Trimph 650 Bonneville TT that used a detal mirror for a rear view mirror. Might try one of those but it may not pass tech. BTW nice Sprite.

in a similar manner, I'm looking for some small convex blind spot mirrors that could be mounted *inside* the car, not to the outside mirrors.
Anyone see something classy out there? (Not interested in cheesy, badly moulded, PepBoys-type of mirrors) thanks.

Opinion needed - what would these look like on a GP white 911?

I'm actually using a "baby mirror". I was looking for a very small mirror also. Just happened to come across this thing in wallmart of all places and it works great. It is super small and sticks to your windshield with a small suction cup.

A small mirror huh? Is this small enough?
It was on a hot rod at the Lime Rock Vintage festival, the owner of the car told me that he made it from a dentist's mirror!

Another shot that shows the size better.

I have the same type baby mirror for my rearview mirror - problem is it makes stuff look WAAAAAAYYYYY far away and has a very wide angle.
So, it shows a little bit of everything, I'd say -

Craig, those carbon mirrors would look great and a GP white car. Or you can save some bucks and get the FG ones and paint them, neon green like the Benz when they ran at Le Mans!! haha hope you find something for the inside

Craig, I have those Spa mirrors on my 914, the field of vision sucks.. Also they use some cheap mirror glass, that may contibute to the poor rear view ( the view out the rear looked like the funny mirror at the carnival).
Solution: I bought a convex replacement mirror from FLAPS, and took out my trusty glass cutter, and cut two pieces of convex mirror the size of the Spa mirror got some double sided foam tape, and applied the convex glass I cut to the mirrors.... Now there is much joy

I don't like the looks of those mirrors at all. To me, they look cheap....not worthy of your car. Sounds like they don't work any better than they look. Though with that new motor, you probably don't worry about who's coming up to pass.
![]() I like the look of aero mirrors (964 or 993 I think).

How about a wink mirror inside and then mount the camera lower to avoid the blocked field of view?
They are not very asthetic, but the view is awesome on the track. I can see everything around me except what is behind my head in the mirror, and I tune my outside driver window to hit that spot. It's a little more inboard than the outside driver's mirror would normally be set.

Well, I am certainly grateful for the opinions of this list.
I don't think I'll be using the mirrors (although they sure look awesome). I wish they came with the glass TimT added... Thanks all! This list is great for this kind of info - P.S. Go to TimT's web site above ( http://www.rudtnersracing.com ) if you want to see some excellent clips - great sound!
