Al Reed Rules

I had my "ugly" black powder coated wheels changed to this:

I really like that "frosted" look

They anodize the spokes with a frosted look and slightly
polish the outer rim

Love it! The frosted look just looks so *perfect* on the early cars. It's a shame more people don't do that, instead of the ubiquitous polish or chrome.

That is what I thought. I didn't realize that Al Reed did anodized wheels. Sweet!

I have very few regrets on how I put my car together. But one of them is that I wish I had done the RSR finish (like that) on my Fuchs.

Before too long, I will.

(Ubiquitous: Seeming to be present everywhere at once. As in, the polished Fuchs we see on so many 911's.)

The trends seem to change. When I did my Black Fuchs 8 years ago it was "in" at the time, as were polished Fuchs.
That Frosted RSR look seems to never go out of style. I say the same for the 911 shape

jack i think your car would look great with that finish.

a fellow early porsche owner once told me that the polished/painted fuchs is a "SoCal VW thing". at the time is was a budget thing for me.

at $125 per wheel i am tempted to send my wheels down to al for the RSR finish. monterey 2005?

thanks for sharing minkoff.

I agree, Jack your car with that mean black paint against those RSR correct frosted fuchs would look oh so good.

Jack come to willow friday open test day and wear out some tires.

How's about more pics of the car!

Those wheels look awesome! I have had Al do 6 wheels for me and they all turned out great.

Cheers
