carrera or Porsche side scripts, How hard are they to remove?
I mean can I remove them and change the look of my car like a woman does with her hair?
I am thinking about putting carrera scripts on my 1974 911. It is very much in the spirit of the 1973 and is identical to a 1974 carrera except it now has a bigger more tweaked engine. ...so hopefully it will not be to poseur-ish. ![]()

I believe MikeZ who posts on here and has a guy that does the Carrera Script has changed his on a number of ocassions. They are just vinyl graphics so not that difficult to remove.

Just use a hairdryer or heat gun , warm the stripes, and off they come.

Nice rig!
Park the car overnight in a heated garage (cold will make the vinyl brittle), use a heat gun (carefully!) and peel slowly to ensure the glue comes with the vinyl. Use a citrus-based cleaner to remove glue residue should there be any.

I think you should go with the scripts. They would look very cute on your car.

I guess I am missing something when it comes to side-script. If it's not a Carrera, why would you want to put "Carrera" on the side of your Porsche. Why put "Porsche" on the side of your Porsche. It already has a Porsche badge on the hood and "911whatever" on the engine lid. The 911 is one of the most recognizable body shapes in the world. I guess I think "less" is "more" when it comes to a 911. But that's what makes the world go round...........different things for different folks

Larry, I know what you mean about being infatuated with the '74 carrera look.
I come by my Porsche fondness naturally. My fathers first Porsche was a 1968 911L with ST flares from there he got an early T that was pretty rough but he brought it back. Anyway on the test drive with the early T we came upon a 1974 lt yellow carrera. ...it was a very new car at the time. At any rate he chased it down gave the honk and flash like most people used to do with there Porsches back in the day. The last image I have of this 1974 Carrera is it just absolutely dusting us through some nice curvey roads ahead of us. I can still see and hear it to this day.
