Question 2 extra wires in left rear light?

1) As I'm reassembling this car, I seem to have 2 extra wires coming out of the same "jacket" as my left license plate wires.

What are these for?

2) The front left bumper shock had a wire grounded to one of the screws. Is this correct?

Either a fog light or warp core generator.

Or someone wired for an aftermarket 3rd brake light, license plate light, or trailer at some point?

I also have those wires hanging back there (left side, rear).

Both of my rear tailight harnesses contain oil level sensor wires. The left side or tied up and appear to have been that way since the beginning.

(Beginning of what, I don't know, just the beginning )

Oh wait, he said license plate lights. Mine are in the lid harness. Must be a later car. Why don't people tell you the year?

As far as the ground wires, again, mine are attached to the bumper bracket bolts, both sides, much the same as the bumper shock would be.

Will we ever solve the problem of people not telling the type/year of their lawn mower when posting on the boards?

Those wires are supposed to run up the #27 jeffrey's tube to the dilythium chrystal bulk storage chamber
Seriously, I don't know what they are for but I have two extra wires in that same location on my 1980 SC, I always figured it was a stupid PO trick I had not investigated yet.
