fuchs 15 inch vs 16inch

Reading the info on Lindsey racings site about the core exchages makes need to bring up this topic.

Aren't 15 inch and 16inch fuchs both created with the same size core? I thought the outer lip is whats raised to create the 16inch from the 15inch.

I talked to them about using my 15s as donors for the 17s. He said only the 16x6 has the flat area that will allow the necessary machine work.

This has come up before. I don't remember the specifics of why, but the 6x15 wheels won't work. I assume they're a different shape near where they get cut, although I don't have an 15's around to look at.
