Visualizing your 911, then and now.

Just curious about all of you that have the non stock looking cars? Were they typically works in progress that just evolved or were they the results of a master plan? If it was a master plan, how did you go about the whole thing? Where did the future vision come from?

Thanks,

David

With my car (which was already non-stock) I needed to change the color. Gaurds Red is THE porsche color but I wanted a funky 70's color for my ride.
I also wanted to take elements from actual Porsches of the past but not do a true to form "clone". For instance I have RS fender flares and a duck but also R lights and deck lid hinges.
For me I had a master plan and executed the plan. Make a light weight longhood with elements of legendary 911's without trying to fit a mold.

Well done. Great color,

The great thing about the 911 being around for so long, is you can find examples of just about any variation.

I remember seeing this car from a Dunkel's show many years back.

I kept putting pictures together.

All toward a similar end:

Thanks Jack.

Now did you build the car to look like that the first shot or keep changing to get to the current stage?

Curious of what it looked like before. Any pictures?

David
