I tried to rent it after a friend told me about it, but the local video store only had a foreign war film also named "No Man's Land." I was heartbroken, to say the least, b/c they said they had it.

The shop is TRE Motorsports, which is owned by Pelicanite TRE Cup. Every time I use the restroom there I think about Bill Duke getting killed in it in the movie.

Pelicanite Speeder also has a non-speaking role as a mechanic in the film.

The movie was co-written (and produced) by Dick Wolf, who went on to be a super-powerful TV writer producer of 'Law & Order' and its offshoots.

I believe it was directed by Ron Howard as well, who went on to do a few things too.

No, the director was Peter Werner, who was primarily a television director.

Damn, I actually watched the same movie last night and I was thinking that the shop looked familiar to TRE for the one time I have been there. I was actually going to ask this morning, I guess I got my answer now.

That's right - Ron Howard was the Executive Producer. Apparently, it was also Brad Pitt's first film. He was a waiter/extra (uncreditied)?
