thats what happens whe you go watercooled. jk, that really sucks, guy says he is in pasadena, i happen to live here too, there is a huge amount of auto shops here and ricers. I know of a couple ppl who have had their car's stolen and then found parts of them on other cars

Cool

I had 3 Porsches parked in my shed. I looked out there one night and they were all ok. The next day I came home from work and they all sat there on just like this guy's 996.

The next day I got a call from one of my friends. They had bought my wheels and other stuff. It seems that the guy that stole them got into the shed while I was at work.

They happily ID'ed the guy. Cost me a couple of hundred bucks.

I never did get the lug nuts back.

That's one heck of a forum. Did you see the cars in the signatures?

How'd they get the jack out from under the car?

Augh, I get it. Use the old tire to hold it up a bit.

At age 18, I was about to buy my first Porsche. Called the advertiser and the seller said he was in Pasadena. I looked it up, drove up, and saw the car. When I asked him why he was selling, he said that the car had been stolen and recovered for the 3rd time and he has had enough.

Unfortunately, my insurance guy said "Hey kid, you may be able to pay cash for the car; but you won't be able to pay your monthly insurance premium." I never went back to complete the transaction.

p.s.,

This was 20 years ago.

Yeah they all seem to have 996 X50s or a GT3. The girl with the turbo has some funny mods listed, "audio/visual and sat nav". Just thought that was funny because on the odd chance you hear of audio mods in an older 911 it never includes visual or sat nav. They seem like a pretty young crowd as well.

I think you guys would probably be surprised at the lack of correlation between money and education/verbal skills/class etc. that you find in society.

Thats a bad pic to see but I remember seeing a few cars that were jacked up by the doors while they are open. That usually ruins the doors with all that weight on open doors. A friend of mine had this happen to his Toyota truck a few years back.

For the record, I am on that forum and Shank (his name is Ryan) owns all the cars in his sig. He has posted pictures of all of them and there are a few videos of his cars floating around too. I think you should cut it out with all the BS.

EDIT: You guys calling BS on the 6speed members is kind of pathetic, don't you think? Pretty immature and it makes you appear jealous.

Ryan is a friend and a customer of mine. I am here to tell you that he is real as well as most on the board. Like any board there are those that aspire to be something they are not and there are the real guys. The board has some of the biggest real guys around. Never judge a book by its cover. I have had over 30 Porsches. 29 of which were air-cooled and I am no different since I bought my 996TT.

LOL, well cut your fingers off working on your Porsche and you are allowed a few typos. Funny how shallow people are.
