Jerome,

That is the vacuum reservoir for a Sportomatic transmission.

Best,
Grady

Vacuum reservoir tank for a Sporto. Just remove the four bolts and sell it. Not much of a market since these are simple tanks, and nothing fails on them.

Thanks Grady, this is off a parts car myself and a buddy bought for other parts, it has a sporto shifter in it also, but with a 902/0 transmission, clutch, etc, the whole 9 yards a straight shift. I( can probably sell this on ebay for a million - joke only.

Jerome,

As you disassemble stuff, keep all the Sporto parts together. There are some (perhaps only a few) who are actively maintaining custody over these. I encourage them to keep it up so there are continuing Sportomatics in service.
The shame is the shipping exceeds the value of the parts. See what you can do to get them in the right hands. Twenty years ago, I (Rennenhaus) would have accepted them for free, not me today.

Best,
Grady
