This is owned by a local Porsche Dealership owner.

that silver RSR is gorgeous! The orange donohue car was locally driven on the street till the feds heard about it. then the owner started racing it in scca regionals for years- what a car!
the flares are correct on the revson car, the rear shot makes it look like they were not restored to the correct position on the chassis- could be camera lens effect?

sammyg2 12-18-2004 08:42 AM

Way cool, I've got an IROC steering wheel! ;)

I find it kind of funny that they have MUD FLAPS!!!

dd74 12-18-2004 11:51 AM

Sweet stuff. The '74 IROC and Carrera was what got me interested in Porsches.

TRE Cup 12-18-2004 12:35 PM

the mud flaps and the impact black stickers on the revson car are NOT original, but they do help protect the chassis and body. that car was also a fun street driver for years with a 2.8 motor

Zeke,

The reason there are only 11 in the picture is that 15 were delivered but several were designated for spares and practice cars. That is my favorite IROC photo. Good choice!

What IROC has become is an abomination. IROC was born in a Porsche, NOT A PONTIAC!!! It was also designed with drivers who know how to turn both left and right.
