You made it! You're in the 10's with the same trap speed as nearly a year ago. That's great!

I'm going to host it as soon as I get the tape in a couple days.
It's view from the roll-bar + acceleration and speed data overlay.

Future plan to simultaneously video out the side window to show
competitors (losing ) but didn't have the right stuff ready this
time, I didn't know all windows were tinted.

Dang! My bike can do it in 11.5 secs, and I usuallly like to play with some of the fast cars in the area, but to think a narrowed bodied 911 could walk away from me....that's scary. Nice work Juan! See you on the high pressure side

That's pretty incredible! The car's such a sleeper too because it looks just like any other nice Porsche out there - unsuspecting street / strip cars beware.

Amazing! Good job, Juan

Thank You Guys !

I finish last night at 2.00 am and I had to jump in a plane at 4am so here I sit down In South America in my last job for this year and it all start to settle in, I must confess that my self and the crew were very emotional regarding this, I know I had my share of tears of Joy and now that I can reflex on it every time I think of it I smile

These were the events as they occur,

First pass Test run 11.0 we better our 11.2 so we were happy.

Second Pass broke the left side custom made 4130 chromoly axle so now we went from joy to concern. we qualify on the last spot with a 23.5

Second qualify 3 pass , we had mix feelings but at the end it was all or nothing out of the hole she felt good, clutch slipping real bad as I had to change to 5 gear something that I have never done before, we cross the line at 10.8 My speedo dosent work so I had to wait until I got my slip, I look at it and I ask the guy if this is my slip, my car numbers are in there, we have break into the 10s !5 years in the making the last race of the season, in our back yard , very very emotional for us, the pit is full of people everyone is coming to congratulate us, it look like we were giving free P**** or something, we have got our 10 sec pass we are in heaven! we are # 1 qualifier with the lowest mph and the lowest E.T !

First round, we line up against a 993 813 AWD 911 she has run 10.7s before, for us we already had our 10 sec so what ever, we line up and we go, she goes hard out of the hole I look back half way the track and she is coming at us hard we win 11.0 to a 11.2 at 139.50 mph! at the return the people on the stand are going crazy, the tent is full again my self and Tommy cant come to grips this is happening to us.

Second Round a bye , I walk her 12.9

Third Round against a 240 sx with what ever turbo they had and what ever engine and what ever hp, we line up and we just kill him BAD!10.90 we have a 2second 10 sec pass to back our 10.8 as some skeptics at the tent were claiming that the 10.8 was just luck, luck this mother F*****.

We are in the Finals, this time we are against a supra, the same supra that we lose in the NHRA Sport Compact early in the year, a lose that hunt me for weeks and a lose that I promise I was not going to repeat, the supra has run 10.7 before, as I line up all the boys were there with me at the line, I can see they are hungry, two things were going to happen either we were going to break her or win, as I feel I am getting more smart I wait, we line up the lights are going down, we are building boost the green goes and out of the hole we go, no mercy never lifting the gas I was in a mission I cross the line, did I red light, did I win, all this questions are coming to mind, I pick up the slip , is real we have won the class and have run our best pass ever at 10.7
as I return to the pit theres people cheering everywhere, I have never been expose to anything like this, the pit is FULL of people the boys are there we are all jumping up and down, please someone pincht me! is this for real,

I knew it was when I saw my dear friend tommy with nothing but smiles, we have run 10.7 with a 100% Street Stock Legal Trim, 911 Carrera something that only a few people had done.

many of you now that this has been a hell of a ride with many many down sides, I promise the 10s before the end of the year and I should have never done that, but I did came true and it was great for my Sponsors as they are making an equal effort to help me and it seems that more sponsors are coming in, in one way or another, to Them I do Thank You !

Thanks to Mr.Rodriguez, Marco, Jeff, GJF just to mention a few!

And MANY MANY THANKS to TURBO WERKS, Jose and Greg you guys had made this posisble but more important you guys are my friends!

I know that many People dont support my project for many reasons and I do respect that, but to be able to pull this off and fund this entire project I must said I am Damm proud! of it, theres has been a lot of people with me from the start but Tommy ( Sewell 94) has been a key player as every time she broke an axle he will jump right in to replace it, so to him many many Thanks!

So with all this in mind I will officially retire her from the Underground World of Street Racing and we go out with a 27-0 ! with this I am hoping to bring in more sponsors and continue our quest, to be competitive in the import drag racing world.

Our future plans we know I can get another 100hp out of her, we want to run out of the state of Florida so I hope that I can find more help $ to make this happens.

The 9s well lets just said I make no promises

Juan, that's awesome news!

You've been great inspiration over the last few months as I've been working on my 930 build.

One of these days you should take some time to write up all you've done and all you've learned during this project. I don't think you'd have any problem getting it published. If you've already done it, I'd love to know where I can get a copy.

What I would be really interested to see, if you ever change the drivetrain in this car, would be a lightweight. I'm not talking a "pro-stock" or tube chassis Civic, just your usual 911 lightweight with weight distribution and chassi specifically for drag racing with this engine in the back. It would still have to appear like a streetable 911 to embarrass the other imports, but you would break less and go faster. Then you can go serious with a clutchless transmission from Mendeola after you get serious sponsor money Have you considered dog rings in the tranny you currently run?

Great job, Juan. My Ford breaks enough things and is only .5 second quicker with a solid rear axle.
