Cookie cutters, Fuchs, or Steel w/hub caps on Tangerine '72
The cookie cutters were on it when I bought it. Most sources say they were first sold on 911s in '73. A few say they were available in '72.
Fuchs - the classic look obviously, but $1200 for this choice. Steel with caps - $50 each. Classic or "bad taste" as one person put it? ![]() ![]() ![]()

Cookie cutters are kinda cool with a "street sleeper" sort of look - especially with that wild orange. Looks to me like your rear camber needs adjustment. Beautiful car.

Go with steelies, but have them widened. Stockton wheel can do it, play around with the offsets and tuck some serious rubber under there.

To my eye, the cookie cutters, hands down, out of those three choices. Fuchs are a dime a dozen. (Well, maybe a quarter!)

The Fuchs are lighter and stronger. So, there is no contest.

I like the steelies, then cookies, and then the Fuchs.

After looking closely at your car and noticing you have S trim and rockers . I would go with 15x6 fuchs instead of the steel that I reccomended before .

Widened steelies would work great on a sleeper car. Its hard for a Tangerine car to pull of the sleeper look.

Fuchs are the best looking, best performance, and best resale.
Steel wheels on a '65 or '66 SWB -- awesome. Whenever I see steel wheels on a LWB car all I can think is the owner should have spent the extra money on Fuchs. Cookie Cutters? Maybe on a 924.

Fuch wheels are the best.
The widen steel wheels are very nice as well. How much does it cost to get widen steel wheels? |

What?!?!

I did'nt vote yet.
Initially, I would have said Fuchs without hesitaion. But widened steel wheels definately have a great look. And just to stir the pot a bit, I offer this for your consideration.... ![]() ![]() Also, is this the same brown car that Todsimpson put up? I wonder how my car would look with steel wheels?.....hmmm Sorry, I'm no help.

Go with Cookies to be different! They are every bit as Porsche 911 as the Fuchs. ATS is also just as much of a "Porsche" company as Fuchs, Karman and Recaro. Sure they were also sold on the later water pumpers, but they were introduced and sold only on the 911/912's for a number of years.
![]() ![]() On second thought, get the Fuchs and dump the cookies for cheap on the used market. It's always good for me to have a cheap supply of used wheels available! ![]()
