modified 930's and emissions

I am seriously looking at getting a 930 but would like one mildy modified (K27+Fuel enrichment+ exhaust+ Cams)
I will eventually be using it in an area with fairly strict emissions (UK/France) but more immediatly in the East USA and so am concerned that the mods will be a waste of time and money.

- What Mods do you have and are they passing the emissions/smog tests?

Thanks for any help!
Rgds Ben

As far as I know, cars from early 80's are only smogged for CO in most EU countries. So as long as CO is good (and that can be adjusted very easily) it will be legal.

Thanks- hopefully someone from France/UK can confirm this and if any/issues

I saw the article on EFI on 930's but at this point I cannot imagine I would need to push above 400HP
So emissions is my only poss. issue

When all else fails, plug the fuel line to one injector. this effectively makes that cylinder an air pump. You only want to do this immediatly before testing, then change back...

I am glad I live in a state with no automotive emissions testing.

I will initially run the car with no emissions but then move later to one with stricker emissions- maybe I am worrying about nothing.
New Year!
Incidently I have just given myself a new years resolution to lose 10lbs weight - 3 inches on the waistline and then I will buy the 930 - in some way I can justify this to the wifey!
(after all it is a 3rd car- that I do not need!)

I live in MA, '84 and older are exempt from emissions testing. Nearly every state has exemptions for older cars. Good thing, mine is so modded it would never pass.

If you bring it to the UK a 1984 will have to pass a very basic CO + HC check at idle speed. You will pass no problem.

Maximum limits allowed:
Vehicles first used before August 1986: 4.5% CO + 1200ppm HC
Vehicles first used after August 1986: 3.5% CO and 1200ppm HC
Catalyst equipped cars after August 1992 0.5% CO 200ppm HC
