P-Thomas is running 16X7's on all 4 wheels with 205/55 rubber on his '71. With this combo, he still needs a touch of negative camber in the rear. HTH

205/55 overall diameter is 24.9 inches, 205/45 will be 23.3 inches.

Here are some pics of VW's running a 205/45 on a 16x7 rim. (The golf has 16x8 in the rear, on Porsche rims no less.)

IMO 205/45/16 is really more of an "import" size to help squeeze 16's on a car that never had them. They'll fit, but you may not like the low profile look or the change in gearing.

THanks guys, you are right I don't want to go the low profile way.
SO I think the 205/55/16 with neg Camber is the way to go.I have some rubbing right now wuth the the 205/55/16 but i need to Adjust the Camber.
