How good is color Blood Orange/ Tangerine?
Whilst blood orange/tangerine is not as popular as silver or ivory-white but just how good (or bad) is blood orange?
I have never seen the color in reality but in some photos they look frighteningly like premature tomatoes.. Do photos do the color justice? |

search for the orange color discussion
there are a few oranges singal orange is a "pure" orange my signal orange targa is very orange where as screen name paul thomas has a slight more red and brighter (Kevinp53 who painted my car says he got the exact factory formula) blood orange definately has more of a RED undertone tangerine has a brown-ish orange hue to it. problem is on the computer one picture of a car's color will look different monitor to monitor I'd like to see some other ORANGE Porsches! this has a good collection of them orange rocks (and eggplant, and viper green, and signal yellow, and bahama yellow, mexico blue) |

My car (the one in both of Tim's linked treads) IS signal orange. I have the Sikkens code around here somewhere, but it looks very different in varying light. Here are two good examples.

Well,
The classics were the two 911 Trans Am racers in ’67 –’68. Best, Grady

My car is tangerine according to the COA, but I've had others tell me differently!

I tend to agree with 82sc - blood orange has a slight red undertone. It's really a nice colour, as long as you don't mind standing out in a crowd!
Paint code for blood orange, according to the plate on my car is 2323G whereas tangerine is 6809 according to chuckw951's certificate. Cheers! Willem Fick
