It was made from two late model vettes that were destined for GM's crusher and donated parts of their frames, suspension/drive train including torque tube with carbon fiber driveshaft. It is now rear-wheel drive. Engine is a GM prototype 425ci small block with twin turbos. Air-water intercooler with custom water tanks hidden in each front fender and separate water pump and radiator. Custom interior by lear corporation. Cool to see the fabrication and some of the head-scratching that goes into a project like this even when money is no object. Jay insisted on the car having stock body, ride height and stock looking wheels. Final tuning was done by GM's finest themselves at their testing facilities with Jay's head mechanic on hand. (I want his job!) |
