Decline of western civilization

I was perusing the ads in a recent Excellence magazine and I noticed at least two adds that had tow hitch locks or tow hitch covers with the Porsche badge.

What's next? loading ramps, light bars, those goofy spinning wheel covers, ladder racks, grille guards, retractable awnings, bug deflectors?

sorry couldn't resist...

I am making that picture my avatar.

Funniest thing I've seen in quite some time.

I saw a cayenne the otherday northbound on I-95

Towing a bass boat.

It just seems WRONG

Looks like the optional Cayane JATO unit (in packing crate).

Tim - your mileage may improve with the early RS "Heft" package spoiler. You must add the FULL WIDTH duck tail, or "Fat Eider" to balance the front and rear lift.

Cool! Now all you need is to mount a ducktail on the roof

It could have been worse: it could have been trailer towing a Chevy or Ford track car!!!

What if it was towing a Porsche track car, in matching black?

Well if it was towing a "Ranger" bass boat it wasn't all bad. Particulrly if it was on the decked out Ranger trailer with the mag wheels etc. Them ol' boats from Flippin Arkansas can be mighty pretty and can put major dent in your bank account!

at that point, you walk up to the guy and tell him that his cayenne is faster around the track than the track car. esp. if it's a turbo.

sjd
who really wonders about a VW "towrig" sometimes
