Early car hood weight

Anyone know accurate weight on a pre 74 hood? Thanks, J R

35 pounds without any latch or other hardware (and no bondo!).

I've been told 29 lbs. is the accurate wt. - not a big difference from ErVikingo's datum above. FG is about 15 lbs.

ErVikingo -- how did you measure your hood?

Used "an accurate" bathroom scale ! Replaced it with a skinny fiber one which weighed in at 16 lbs.

I just put my steel one on a digital scale. 34.5 pounds with no latch or hinges.

Thx. OK, I think I'll change the value in the database. Two ind. measurements, tho one with a likely not too accurate bath scale and the other with a scale of unknow accuracy -- but the fact that 2 measurements came out w/in 0.5 lb. carries the day. I'll be putting the updated database up in the near future for those interested....
