Portable Compressor Setup for air tools

What do you guys do with a portable compressor setup an air tools. I need to setup a filter and a lubricator for my tools but not sure I want them just installed inline draggin around with the hose.

Has anybody setup any brackets for mounting on the compressor itself to support these? Don't really want to install a wall setup and no room with a lift.

Any ideas?

-Jeff

Hmmm, hard for me to explain but I used a threaded brass pipe off the compressor outlet and right to the filter assembly. The pipe supports the assembly. The quick connect is hooked right up to the filter outlet.

I don't have an inline lubricator because I also sandblasted and sprayed with the same set-up. I'd oil manually. With the extra weight of the lubricator you may need to fab up a smal bracket.

I agree with Rick's comments, on my prortable compressor I installed a short pipe to a water filter with an quick disconnect the other end. I manually lubricate the air tools with a few drops of oil before use. Unfortunately, I found that the portable compressor (20 Gal) was inadequate for most air tool applicationsin my garage. I ended up purchasing a 7HP 60 gal single stage compressor that will run everything. The portable unit is only used rarely now.

How about something like this mounted to the frame of the portable compressor. A short pipe or hose would be all that would be needed between the compressor and the filter, and then a quick disconnect on the filter output. Seems easy enough...

The price is right, for a weekend mechanic is the quality of this unit sufficient?
